Focus Group on Social Virtual Reality in Social Virtual Reality: Effects on Emotion and Self-Awareness
ISMAR Adjunct
Social VR is usually examined from the outside, but this study runs a focus group about social VR inside social VR, using a space built in Mozilla Hubs. Twelve experienced VR users from around the world discussed the technology while the researchers measured their emotional state and self-awareness with PANAS and a self-assessment questionnaire. The reflexive design yields insight into how being present together in a virtual space affects users — and into using social VR itself as a research setting.
