As companies race to build the metaverse, there is a chance to get inclusion right from the start rather than rebuild today's digital barriers. This workshop explores how to make the metaverse open and accessible to people with physical and intellectual disabilities and how to design interactions that minimise disadvantage. Its outcomes outline new opportunities for accessibility, methodologies for designing and evaluating it, and key considerations for building inclusive metaverse environments.
