User Evaluation of Hand Gestures for Designing an Intelligent In-Vehicle Interface

As cars gain richer interfaces, hand gestures offer a way to control them without taking one's eyes off the road. This paper evaluates a set of hand gestures for use in an intelligent in-vehicle interface, gauging how usable and acceptable drivers find them. The results inform gesture vocabularies for safer in-car interaction.
